This is a lovely golf course for kids, reasonably prices in a good location.

You can look for things to do in several ways. Use the search box to find something specific; click on one of the ideas tags for a list of associated activities; or click on one of the place names for a list of activities in that area.

We cover Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate, as well as Birchington, Cliftonville, Manston, Monkton, St Peters and Westgate. There's also a category for daytrips out of the area, which includes anything outside Thanet - as far afield as France.

Listings are brief, often just a sentence or two with images or video plus a link to a relevant website for more details.

We're not aiming to provide detailed descriptions of each and every attraction. The intention is to help you find ideas for things to do on a rainy day - or even on a sunny one.

Registering and contributing

Registering for ThanetKids takes less than a minute. Click the 'Log in' link above and click 'Register' on the next page. You'll be asked to enter a username and your email address. Your password will then be sent to your email address. Simple - just don't forget to check your junk mail folder as well.

Once you've registered and logged in, you can leave comments on places you've visited or advertise your own events. If you have a school fair coming up, or a nearly-new sale of children's clothing, or any relevant event, just add the details to the 'News' section. You can also edit your profile page, upload a photo of yourself and change your password by clicking on the 'update your profile' link at the top of every page.
