Nice for a sunny day. Used to have to pay to use the outdoor play area, but since it’s been done up (under the advice of Duncan Bannatyne) it’s free, though there are one or two things less in there now. There are bouncy castles in the summer.
Cafe serves nice food – not too expensive. Gets very busy when the weather is hot – there are tables outside where you can eat the food you have ordered. Boating pool is good fun.
If you cycle along the cliff top, or scoot or just walk, then you can break off for a play and a snack or ice cream. Watch the ferry go in and out!

Listings are brief, often just a sentence or two with images or video plus a link to a relevant website for more details.

We're not aiming to provide detailed descriptions of each and every attraction. The intention is to help you find ideas for things to do on a rainy day - or even on a sunny one.

Registering and contributing

Registering for ThanetKids takes less than a minute. Click the 'Log in' link above and click 'Register' on the next page. You'll be asked to enter a username and your email address. Your password will then be sent to your email address. Simple - just don't forget to check your junk mail folder as well.

Once you've registered and logged in, you can leave comments on places you've visited or advertise your own events. If you have a school fair coming up, or a nearly-new sale of children's clothing, or any relevant event, just add the details to the 'News' section. You can also edit your profile page, upload a photo of yourself and change your password by clicking on the 'update your profile' link at the top of every page.
